I agree, but I think I'm fine with romance if it's subtly there and isn't the main focus. I'd rather cooking mangas mainly focus on the good food the mcs can create because majority of the time, that's the main reason why we are reading it

I don't trust the author to not use romance as a tool for conflict and drama later on (when they run out of food ideas), which means we'll have to forego the usual episode of delicious food and wholesomeness simply because both characters couldn't keep it in their pants. (=・ω・=)
I think the job might be needed to be able to improve the benefits the plants give. It's odd that they already assigned a budget to clear the land to grow them on a large scale when they haven't harvested and tested the trial crop they planted in the tower
