Not sure but maybe the brother (alive) liked the uke but learned that he liked his brother (dead) and i guess as a coping mechanism took his anger out on him and then his brother died and he sorta was like “Nows my moment to guilt trip him (the uke) into being with me” and then that’s how he ended up with the one he likes but terribly toxic and disgusting
