I think it's because of what Grayson did to Chase when they were younger, he made Chase think that Chase had sex with a dog while he was in a rut or something like that(I vaguely remember.) In this chapter, Josh is married to Chase so he wants revenge for Chase.

Aahh, I see. Have you noticed they’ve glossed over a lot from the novel? I know lots of novel adaptations do for condensing purposes but since this author has a multiverse going on I wonder how much is getting lost causing some confusion
