Yeah I totally get that, and I definitely don’t mind its inclusion in media to display that it can happen and it’s not good. But the message would’ve rung much better if their words didn’t ring so hollow or if they actually felt like they carried any weight or meaning. The sister doesn’t seem to hate that she feels that way and the one person who knows doesn’t say anything particularly interesting about it either; almost like she doesn’t care. It’s not necessarily saying something about it and the words that are used are almost kind towards this kind of relationship. I would’ve definitely appreciated its inclusion a lot more if it had something to actually say, but rn it’s too soft and its inclusion feels really pointless

Lowkey can’t get behind Ethan as the ML cuz he was always doing stuff behind Dorothy’s back and he seems a bit too obsessed and I don’t feel like I could fully trust him. I thought it was gonna be more of a story behind Theon and Dorothy’s relationship changing and seeing how this new chance at life would alter their budding romance, but I guess not
While it is true that Ethan was doing things behind Dorothy’s back (especially in the past), all of his actions (even the misguided ones) were for her. Yes it was because he loved her, so there was a selfish motive, but honestly compared to Theon’s whose actions were more selfish (I get that he didn’t want to die to the spirit, but he could have been open and honest about his situation), Ethan is a much better person in my opinion. Even though he is still a schemer (one’s personality can’t completely change), he’s more open about it. And in all honesty, in my opinion Theon is now worse than he was in his past life because now he’s “in love” with Dorothy, but his actions are still mostly driven by his own self preservation.
Yeah that’s actually fair, I’m not feeling too strongly about either of them for that reason. I just think it needs a lot more work but with the way the story is progressing now I think attention might be pulled away from the romance aspect. I’ll still be sticking around for it, but I hope to grow into Ethan by the end at least
Yeah, unfortunately manhwa’s aren’t always able to catch all the little details that novels can. Which can inhibit your ability to really get into certain characters or storylines.
Never liked Claude, Ian has treated her better from the very start. I think it’s crazy how I’m supposed to like Claude lol and I definitely don’t like Camellia anymore I think she’s so forgiving of Claude for no reason and I think it’s stupid
