It's def good!! It has some like.. Plot holes? Like, they didn't show what happened to MC's og world when he left, the sudden manifestation of Ashren's hatred when he saw Mikhail, what happened to Ashren's henchmen, what happened to Mikhail during the year gap, etc..
Also if you compared the latest chapter to the beginning, you'd noticed how much they infantilized Yuri in terms of looks— It's so uncanny ngl......
Other than that, it'd a good manhwa if you don't take anything too seriously! It does have plot, but it's poorly (not really, but more like mid-ly?) made. It's a solid 7/10 in my book :3
The creator's note is so diabolical I'm not sure if it's genuine or they're just brushing all the plot holes under the rug they haven't even explained what their past life is about?? Like?? Jarn died when he was a child, got reborn, died again as the ML's past?? Lover?? World went to recreation and somehow managed to erased everyone's mind?? Aunt knows the past????? WHAT HAPPENED THERE'S TWO BRAINS WORKING ON THIS STORY FFS
What the fuck do you mean the rapist is gonna be the side couple, with Da-um's beloved leader no less? At least there will be snippets of the main couple..
This is the most beautiful manga I've ever read, there might be some plotholes but this is genuinly the cure for toxicity and I'm all for it I'm so happy omfg I need tissues wtf
At least the comments there have more braincells than whatever we have in these comments like, what is there to be confused??
I think it was nice? There was a lot of plotholes and lack of character development (I mean, it's still there!! But it felt really sudden, it's to be expected since it's a 6–chapter manga). I'm the type who doesn't excuse such actions, especially sexual assault, from Munetaka (and the translator's note doesn't save him either like??) but he was able to, I suppose, reflect? It took them a few days to reunite together, and to a couple, especially with a newborn child in hand, it probably feels like months to them. So I was able to briefly endure that man since in the end, Ayato was able to consent with being intimate despite the incident in earlier chapters.
I'm also happy that they didn't continue with getting mated (since it's the reason why the assault happened). A user differentiate that as to a "marriage" but in my belief, marriage is just a formality and proof used to gain benefits for both parties (like visitation rights, custody, written wills, etc.).
Whereas bonding is a psychological response of ones second gender's (Omega) heat and/or influence. It's seen as sacred but also impulsive, where sometimes one party benefits from it (alpha can have multiple mated omegas, but the omega is connected to only one alpha). Some argue that Omega's are also benefited from that arrangement, where they don't have to worry about getting pheromones out to the public— But if the alpha they happen to connect with were abusive or they simply have lack of love for them (and/or instances where the bonding comes from rape) then the omega can suffer, or even die from not being attended to during heat.
And the BIGGEST difference is that, you can break the marriage but you can't break the bond. Hence the "sacred" bond.
Let's remind ourselves that Ayato has every right to have a say regarding if he wants to get bonded or not because in the end, Munetaka can have multiple and Ayato stays with him forever. Also, Munetaka used to be a playboy, and in earlier chapters, he sees Ayato as an omega and not "Ayato" himself, which leads to him getting impulsive and possessive. But of course, he was able to reflect on himself, and even agreed to getting the bond "delayed" since Ayato simply is not ready for it.
So yeah it was nice :3
My probable complaint is that the author is perhaps trying to introduce more characters in the story but they weren't very impactful/influential to the plot. There's definitely more to the story if the author developed it more but alas it's a 6–chapter manga.
Because it felt so rush with many many incomplete arcs that suddenly went forgotten, but after seeing the couple look so happy together— I couldn't help but feel my heart ache.. I wish to see them once more in the side stories!
IS CAUSE THE ARTSTYLE REMINDS ME OF ALST SO MUCH I'M CRYING I CAN'T MIVE ON (peak plots)
I'm so so glad that I managed to live another day to watch them grow as a whole family. I love them sm, they are my world and I cry everytime I realized they're just regular people that live to the fullest. I'm so happy
He raped MC not once, but TWICE. Not only then, he wished death upon him under his arms. I get that in chapter 30 he "didn't mean it" but that only happened because MC was literally about to die. ML stopped MC from doing things MC wanted to do, restricts him from going outside, communicating with his doctor, or even interacting with anyone. I feel like this moved on too fast simply because MC "is kind to forgive". I get some of this were planned by Gray but the fact ML followed it exactly with even more harsher treatments, like forcing to imprint MC without his consent, is awful and outright outrageous.
I know that the comments are celebrating that "they're finally back to normal" but I don't sit well with this AT ALL. Anyways rant over, I just wish that MC was more harsh with ML when he apologized for a few panels, but alas it's satire and that everything shouldn't be taken seriously. Why add serious plot in the first place? Smh sobsob
Also the fact that most of the comments drew the line of Hardy cheating but not him raping and stripping Rio's rights as a human being (interacting, going outside, freedom of speech, hobbies) is so bizarre, like— is the bar THAT low?? Smh I'm gonna cry
Chapter 18:
I DON'T GET WHAT'S HAPPENING BUT MONSTERS??? WHEN HALF OF THE TEAM ARE STILL NEWBIES??? YOU CAN DO THIS RIOOOOOOO
I LOVE how we all agreed that ML is full of bs and that we ain't accepting those tears of his like man stfu
