And if I'm not wrong mcs past body and his current body shares the same wavelength bcs it's explained that it happens in the guide's minds, so if the ml actually took notice to how eerily similar their energies were esp when he's been his partner for years I wouldn't be surprised he already knew about him and was just testing waters (he started to let mc be closer to him after the knee and restaurant incident I think which is where I assumed he knew about mc being mc)
I think what make his gears turn is MC having knee issues when it rains in his current body
