Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy the hell people hating it? I mean I there are many wrong things but still it's soo greatttttt
why read a book that has sa if you know it’s triggering for you? i don’t understand why anyone would actively seek out reading with triggering themes knowing they will not like it. there are plenty of green flag bls you can dedicate reading and investing into instead of complaining about a dead horse.
"so people not wanting to read sa" Who's forcing you to read this? Do you not know how to close a browser tab?
"fiction can portray harmful stereotypes" Fiction can portray anything, a fact you learn at real school when you pay attention to literature classes.
"shouldn't be something anyone accepts" I do not think you understand how reading works. What are you even talking about here, are you incapable of differentiating between fiction and reality? Are you a toddler? Do you get lessons in how to conduct yourself frrom fiction? Do you think people reading murder mysteries and horror novels are all committing heinous crimes because they accepted things from the books to be normal? Do you think people who actually do that are mentally stable?
"you definitely don't read strong works of fiction" Pray tell what strong works of fiction you've been reading that instructed you to come save us gullible babies from evil rapey yaoi so that we don't start dating evil rapey blonds ourselves. Please, I insist. I would love to know what is giving you the idea that you're a much needed "progressive" savior/punisher of grownass readers reading mature content made for grownass readers.
I think you’re reading wrong what that other person said. They didn’t say that you couldn’t read it, but you can criticise any piece of media. The romanticisation of abuse is a very well spoken about problem in the literary community and differs greatly from a typical horror story (for example).
Anyhow, as we’re all grownass readers no need to get so worked up about a different opinion
DPMO some of you come to this specific manhwa to complain about "romanticization of abuse" and this is one of the few I've read that actually takes it seriously. Why is that y'all can't take the different opinion that some people can enjoy this and can read this and and go about their day without "romanticizing abuse" irl? What is this belief that people who enjoy this stuff need to be reminded agian and again that This Is Bad Actually? You can't trust other adults to make the decision for themselves? Are you having a crisis of morality here and projecting it on all other readers? What exactly do you think you're gaining from it, social capital as oh-so-caring-and-thoughtful mangago user? Do you do this to religious grift lit and capitalist selfhelp readers and the hetero pickup artist books etc too or do you specifically have this righteous calling for queer romance works with predominantly female and queer readership?
Again, you're not looking at it as an interesting story with complicated characters, you're looking upto fictional characters to tell you what's right. do what's right and do what You would do. You're expecting stories to only portray good rightous moral stuff and expecting everyone else to have your preference, otherwise we're all romanticizing fetishizing bad behaviour etc etc. Go read your green flag relationship how to books and leave the abuse romanticizers alone, take that difference of opinion like an adult yourself. Do you need to be told explicitly that this is conservative behaviour? Be grown enough to let other adults enjoy whatever bullshit they want to, its fans aren't forcing you to read it or be okay with SA or romanticize anything with us.
Also, taking me out the way y'all would fail actual lit classes especially after high school lmfao.

the sister word is making me furious
