Damn I fucking hate Ian but his monologue that's questioning why Michele's awake kinda makes me sad, especially knowing what happened in the novel. He really experienced it all that it's almost like he's always ready about what's to happen. He genuinely needs help and it's awesome Michele is exactly the right person to give it to him, even though he came from the family of his abuser. Still though, this kinda sad for both of their cases
Oh girlie I just know that this is gonna get worser I genuinely feel bad for both of them, also to Ian because he's conflicted with his own emotions, his tragic trauma and Michele himself too. And of course Michele too because Ian's anger is directed towards him, even if it's something that he didn't even do, so he really just have to bear all that shitty manipulation for his family's wrongdoing that he didn't even know have happened. Katya kind of has a similar shitty family situation with Michele too, and as of now they already share much similarities, so I don't really entirely blame Michele for looking for a friend.
