I read up to the latest chapter in Korean translation too. Maybe Hyungwoo’s mother really loved human, but after her sister death, she just felt very betrayed. She used to pick up stray human and nursed them, and after her death, dad couldn’t bear to love human anymore bc of the fear for the same betrayal.
