A friend recommended this a looooong time ago and after seeing it was complete, I binged it all and my only regret was not starting it sooner.
The characterisation and general construction of the plot was superb, from the main characters to even the supporting roles. I especially liked the way Prosector Hasco was woven into the story from earlier chapters, a constant reminder of the tragic story of an Asian couple terrorised by the W.A.F, everyone knew what happened to the girlfriend yet there was never any mention of what happened to the boyfriend and I think that was genius.
I’m curious about Alster Winsor, did Gale kill his mother and try to frame his father, killing two birds with one stone. He suffered abuse at the hands of them, he even said that a part of him is still in that house and this could be a way to permanently remove them from his life making him whole, with the death of his mother and the imprisonment of his father however due to the lack of evidence his father was freed, meaning Gale had to end him himself. Is that why Detective Krakow can’t find Alster?
It also works in Gales favour that his fathers DNA was on record so that Simon could be a suspect, it’s all too convenient. It just seems out of character for him to kill his father, I feel like Gale would rather him be alive but rotting somewhere, the same way he wanted Simon to be alive but in prison, it’s just a little theory I have.
Not only was he caught hurting Na-kyum but he just confessed to ruining the last painting. There’s no way of slithering out this Sir Snake lmao!
Also, I wonder what emotions Seungho felt on the second page, there was an almost bored yet dreamy expression when Na-kyum panicked and ran away but then when we see that he’s aroused, he laughs almost as if he can’t believe he got hard for a lowborn.. he really is an interesting character.
Lastly was it said if it was Sir Jihwa or Sir In-hun, cus Jihwa mentioned he heard from the servants but was that a ruse to hide the fact that he was watching or did he hear from the servants and it was in fact In-hun watching ┐(‘~`;)┌
A story that’s well written and even though it’s a oneshot, there was enough backstory scattered throughout to build and conclude the story in one chapter.
I read this sometime last year (I think) and this story left such an impact that I’m back to reread it because it’s so good. Second time around and the twist still hits you and tbh I’ll probably reread it again because it’s simple and yet so well executed.
Lmao!!!! If there was ever to be a sequel, I think it would have a Bonnie and Clyde vibe; cruising around in the truck, staying in motels, leaving a trail of decapitated bodies in their wake.
I feel as though their relationship wouldn’t be a romantic one, the uke targets men but once he’s rejected he’ll strike and the older guy (seme) helps clean up the mess since there’s a mutual trust after the uke spared him. When the uke kills men, the Seme is both terrified and a little aroused and because of this it’d be more of a sexual relationship than anything romantic, at least at the start.
I can see the police catching up to them and the uke saying that the Seme has nothing to do with the murders, sparing him once again and that’s when they realise it’s love and booom... it ends.
Never really believed in that saying much but damn I’ve gotta give the artist credit for capturing the souls of each characters just with the eyes alone. Just looking at Seungho you know this guy is a little... twisted and the pure innocence in Na-kyum’s eyes. Small details like this really adds to the story and I love it.
Side note: I’m still not sure about how I feel towards Sir Jihwa, he just grinds me the wrong way and that’s mainly because I don’t find entitlement attractive (same goes for Seungho) but fuck, he is so beautiful, possibly the prettiest character so far. When his hair is down, I like him more because it’s almost as if he’s bearing it all, there’s not titles when he is getting dicked down lmao.
I’m so proud of Makoto, in three years he’s been able to power up enough that he’s the same level as Datenshou.. see this just proves when you’ve set out to achieve something, you’ll see results.
Tbh I shouldn’t find it too surprising since within a short time of knowing Fjord he surpassed him enough to say his name so it was bound to happen.
Also the dads soul was literally ‘death by association’ he was slowly killing himself at the thought of being associated with his ‘satanic homosexual son’ and all that did was decrease the quality of his life but in turn, J got some gold dust from it so it’s a lose-win lmao!
I really liked the plot twist of the hare and tortoise story and I’m really curious to know how the book (the pet shop owner had) ended. Heck, I even enjoyed the plot twist of the bull story, shit took me by surprise.
The other stories tho however just didn’t have the same impact, I skipped the shota scenes (in the hamster and tiger stories) for obvious reasons so I’m hoping the most recent story has a good twist because this manga has some potential.
So far, I don’t like Sir Jihwa (I believe his name is) he may be pretty and a regular fleshlight for Seungho but how dare he treat Na-kyum that way, regardless of his status.
My feelings towards the writer are mixed, I know he wants to have a higher standing and by being friends with Seungho can give him more opportunities but I feel as tho Na-kyum is a mere pawn in this game. It’s kinda sad when you see how much Na-kyum openly adores his teacher.
Na-kyum saving his virginity in hopes that one day his crush will take it, only for it to taken by Seungho, is like when you’re saving a cherry from the top of a cake to eat last, only for someone to reach over and eat it..
