I just started this I'm at chapter five but I feel like the ml is secretly a depressed fuck or has some other mental issues

So I did binge this and it was very good! I really loved it. I didn't like the mcs friend tho he was kinda annoying me like the whole time. And hey I wasn't completely off with my guess that the ml had some issues
