The story itself is very interesting. That’s why I’ve managed to read this far. But it drags on so much that it’s far too difficult to read. I don’t get it, do people like that really exist? Some logic, please!
I think when people have really low self esteem they can’t process the fact that someone actually likes them , in the past one of my classmates had a crush on my friend. All his friends kept teasing him whenever she was near him and even gave her many hints that it was actually her the said classmate liked . Objectively speaking , she was quite average looking so she kept thinking they were simply joking around, I mean it was to the point where she couldn’t even process anyone would like her and the funny thing is anytime someone had a crush on someone else , she could easily tell so she wasn’t clueless just thought if herself as being unworthy
My brain froze for a moment before I realised: OK, this is a classic plot – he’ll be reported missing and then presumed dead because his body won’t be found, by the time Ethienne has sorted out everything that needs sorting out.
