People keep saying Yuno needs to be powerful because he's Asta's "motivator" but let's face it, Asta will never be as strong as him. The author powers up Yuno every friggin chapter, while Asta can even swing his damn swords (I'm exaggerating). The manga is so damn undeveloped and the author clearly can't write for shit. I mean they're thousands of manga that do the powerful rival tropes seamlessly without making the "weak" mc look pathetic. Look at My Hero Academica for examples, Deku and Asta are basically in the same situation, but unlike YÅ«ki Tabata, KÅhei Horikoshi knows how to write a story that shows characters being rivals and improving without making either one of them appearing weak.

Does anyone else feel tired of the arrogant battle cries? The only humble character in this story is Asta. There are various characters who like Yuno or Noelle were weak because the doubted themselves. Yuno only briefly in a flashback. But become strong when motivated by asta. I frankly donāt understand Yuno. Like at first his declarations of him defeating asta in the race to become wizard king was clearly meant to encourage asta. But after the elves and the golden dawn captain were defeated. The wrong people were praised. The black bulls obviously played the biggest role in the battle hell, the final blow was delivered by Yami and asta. While Yuno was support. Yuno despite his immense power didnāt do any significant damage. The devil insta healed! Yet No one even in private acknowledges asta or the black bulls. Yeah they save him from taking the fall. But frankly I donāt understand how the golden dawn captain kept the loyalty of his group out of everyone in the clover kingdom the should feel the most betrayed by their captain for forcing them out of their own bodies. If they werenāt stopped their bodies would have committed genocide. William choose loyalty to a spirit over people he gathered that he was responsible for. Why the hell did yuno forgive him. And defend him. He was an accomplice to mass genocide and the slaying of their leader. The rationale is that he was nice. And couldnāt choose between his loyalties. If he was a capable leader he would have keep both loyalties but discouraged the elves from genocide. Which in the end would have saved the elves because they were being manipulated too. So he betrayed both loyalties. So nacht is absolutely right about wanting the correct people rewarded. Despite no have equal power to yuno he far surpassed yuno as a leader. By encouraging his team his allies his captain even enimies to his side. And he is always the deciding factor in all battles in the anime. He always laments about how he couldnāt do by himself or he was too weak. But a a strong fighter is someone who wins fights when it matters no matter the cost. Yuno is the strongest in aptitude and power but he doesnāt lead. He doesnāt even decide who to fight asta does. Asta was the catalyst to the majority of the battles. These last chapters the captain are arrogantly boasting their ability to take down the enemy without their peers. The bug guy scoffed at asta not being present at the fight because heās unneeded when heās been the key to every battle. His squad member Seke is running around on fake power and instead of taking responsibility for choosing an inept member he pretends he doesnāt exist. Yami is the most loyal captain the the wizard kind trusts his dream of equality to but the royal captain constantly call him foreigner. Subtly establishing him not truly a member of clover kingdom. I hope everyone gets a reality check at the final battle.
I want one so bad
