Unpopular opinion: I kinda hope he does lose weight, and not for any superficial reason like looks but because it's kind of obvious that he's struggling with a hectic trauma based eating-disorder (he started eating his feelings) and as someone with an eating disorder I would love to see him move past that and be healthy just for the sake of being healthy. It left kind of a bad taste in my mouth when it felt like they just skipped over the fact that he's probably got a binge-eating disorder....
I think its just sad that the artist is probably gonna make out that he lost all that weight in a month or something, and that also is really unhealthy but yeah i get ur point
Oh yeah for sure, I think this manga is cute as hell but as with so many yaois, the minimization of trauma in favour of "love heals all wounds" is, yeah, should be taken with a grain of salt ╮(￣▽￣)╭
