I might be one of the rare one who actually enjoyed Baron and Madam Mildred relationship. Iris and CP relationship was of course cute but I love seeing how Baron was becoming more considerate and (even if he do it because he's thinking if our FL) caring towards Mildred daughters. At the start I already knows he didn't care for anyone, he is totally detached. He might be smiling but he isn't really smiling inside. He's what they call double face I guess. At first he didn't care for anyone, then he start to care about Mildred, then by extension to win her favour, also of her daughters. We can see some growth in this handsome demifairy. He's not the kind to be generous to others just to be kind. In fact he's Kinda like a game quest. Only when you met his conditions, will you get the mission & the rewards. I myself is not an inherently good person. I couldn't even be bothered to be. I will only be good to you if you met the condition & is kind to me for quite a while. If you crossed me, I would make your life miserable than ever. So Baron personality is still in my alley. I met more ML whose personality other fan adore but more bloody red flag than Baron behaviour.
(I’m doing a reread lol) fully agree, seeing Daniel becoming more and more considerate of others throughout the story was very enjoyable. it made his and Mildred’s relationship more “sincere” than just mere acts of love. it also helped out his other (shown) relationships with others like Lord Casey (the painter Casey) and (somewhat) sympathizing with the Crown Prince which led to him actually giving better advice. his attitude changed also wasn’t so abrupt that it was weird to see and ironically helped with his relationships with the daughters I think. instead of forcefully acting like a father towards them or outright ignoring them, it became a casual relationship where they can go to him for help and such without it being awkward.
all in all I really like Daniel’s character and their relationship which is a main reason why I do read this story
