Read up to ch 19 and I'm disappointed this adaptation removed the most interesting part (for me). How fl was the one who taught ml the sarcastic "a round of applause for..." because ml was basically sarcasm-dense.
I was already disliking how she blushed all the time. I liked the novel because both fl and ml's attitude weren't typical and i wanted to see them illustrated. I think I'll drop this now tho. They're gorgeous but nothing I've never seen before in any other rofan manhwa.
Started cute, but i don't know if i want to continue (ch 30). Seems like mc has mentally become a child after the transformation (not even a teen). 400 yr old ml literally referred to him as a child...

I'm surprised by how much i like this. The manhua adaptations I've tried have not been very good, so i try to avoid them, I'm glad i didn't skip this! maybe it's because this doesn't look like it's been adapted from a novel?

I went to look at the novel cause some parts were wtf. There was no rape in the novel.

Tf? If you're gonna insert rape, at least address the aftereffects. There was some trembling from the mc, but it feels to me like the ml dismissed it. Or maybe show the ml going batshit and beating the guy half to death? What is this, really? The manhwa just wanted to insert rape?
I was also waiting for ml to remove his earings while fighting the guy, but it looks like the author forgot this detail. Ml most certainly removed them later on for friendly fire. Tf.
Anyway, in conclusion, this is one of those things you read after turning your brain off

I usually steer clear of joseon bl because I'm not into political drama, but this was a short one so i went ahead and read it. Halfway through and I'm thinking when will this end? I persevered but it was annoying and draining, if I'm gonna be honest.
There should have been a TW. Joseon guides are literal sex slaves (what was i even expecting?).
I try not be prejudiced because most of the gay men i know irl are on the effeminate side, but if the bottom is going to look like a woman (in a world where same sex relations isn't even a barrier), might as well make it into hetero smut.
Anyway, it wasn't great.
I don't usually read manhua as i the ones i tried were ass, but i read this because of the comments. I appreciate the TL and their edits. I know manhua adaptations lose about 50% of the original story (from my limited experience with them anyway), so the edits and footnotes are great.
The drama at the end felt unnecessary, but I liked the overall story. I'm glad they didn't focus too much on the politics since i read bl for the fluff
