i can't believe people are actually defending this story. yes, i know not all stories have happy endings. i know there are "dark" theme stories. i know they're TRYING to depict a toxic/unhealthy relationship. i know it's SUBJECTIVE. but atp it's very tiring when the author has done this twice and getting away with it. they're releasing yet again another webtoon that has the same element. what i don't like about this webtoon is how it's badly written over time. it would've been great if the author took time to explore and explain each characters and their complexity. but no, it was massively rushed and now they're realising a new one? mind you i know a lot of toxic/unhealthy wlw stories but they were still able to write it beautifully and justified. not this kind of overhyped story. i feel bad for people who had this as their first wlw webtoon.
to that person who said "blame the characters not the author" for having shit personalities. let me hold your hand when i tell you this, the author has all the power to write the characters, so of course, we'll be blaming the author for the lack of good story quality. im not the best illustrator nor writer out there, but i say this out of love, if the author can't write something good then they should just hire someone to make a story. this already happened to their previous story, "bad thinking diary". i feel like most people only read this because the illustration quality is top tier, but in the end they get disappointed over the plot story.
anna is probably the only one with complex back story. she had the potential to make the story good. she didn't want to "love" anyone because she was thought differently when she was a kid. she didn't want to "love" lily because she doesn't want to end up like her mother. it would've been better if the author dive deeper using anna's story and try to make her heal from her trauma. but no, i guess, the author's focus is on lily instead but no progress at all. i feel seriously disappointed because i feel like this author only highlights smut scenes. this is like a "smut only" but with poorly written back story just so people will think this is not just p*rn.
i went through the comment section and even on other social medias to understand people's opinion about this manhua, and i feel so bad for the author because readers can't comprehend the story.
i read up to latest chapters, and aida definitely doesn't deserve the hate train towards her. i can't believe people are blaming her personality/attitude when that's the fruit of her unhealthy coping mechanisms. she was taken advantage by her father who she looks up to the most. she was just a KID back then so ofc she wouldn't know what's wrong and what's right. she only knows her father loves her the most of the two twins. she craved for her father's attention bc she couldn't get it from her diseased mother.
and now that they're young adults, it's engraved on anda's mind that men loving her body is equal to loving her genuinely which she got from her twisted father. she CLEARLY LOVES her twin sister if you people can't still get it. she might not have the brains like aisha, but she has the body and beauty she's proud of. she told aisha in the latest chapters, "as long as the men in this manor will love me, they'll protect us from sylvia." even in ayesha's secret, aida did her best to attain her brothers' love just so their stepmother won't hurt the twins. if you still think she's stupid then you got the story all wrong ://

I really like this story, it's not your ordinary wlw but it captures real issues on how suffocating it can be in a relationship with someone who's really possessive. It's saddening that she died though, and her "ex" got not second but third chance to flee again after her own faults. 9/10 imo
