Even after getting another "Jio", the mermaid still there. Let's say there's 2 mermaid arc, intro, problem 1, taking a break from the mermaid problem like a truce, then problem 2, then end of mermaid arc. When I read the novel, I really I am confused about the students feeling. It's so deep that so toxic. It's so hard to express since they're ready to do anything for their teacher (Giovani). And Giovani way of thinking also...kind of insane yet so kind to the point make the ugly me sick.
Still, I think rather than sun goddess, the most suitable is sun god. The appearance was a man if I remember correctly. Also Jio called the sun—father, and I don't recall "father" and "mother" is similar in korean to the point there's mistranslation.
At the end of the day, I thought the mermaid woild resemble human more since in the novel they're described by Giovanni that their appearance is similar to human with a little bit difference such as tail and ear. So far they're so pretty
if u estimate the chapter, how many would the arc cover? fleur
Combine? Around 50s On real timeline? More than 100s. So its like, Mermaid arc part 1, another arch, another one, plus the fillers etc. then Mermaid arc part 2.
I'm seeing it as kind of a sign of corruption... from a normal being in their world to a monster tied to dungeons... Their relationship... really is something else... idk if I'd trully call it toxic... but its very complicated... there's a lot of sadness and trauma mixed in it... and we don't even know how long those 2 have been living in this twisted grief and hatred... but I guess it was a long time... Personally I don't think Giovanni is thinking much like a human... because he was never a normal human to begin with... and his death was also... very sad and traumatic... and lastly... I understand he not punishing them for their atrocities himself... because denying them that is the highest punishment for them... Anyway... a lot of tissues were used on this arc...

Almost half of the novel is about the mermaid, since there's part 1 and part 2. They're basically long due to their complicated and deep relationship. You can take 30 as shortest if they skip things
The mermaid arc is the longest of all.

The sun goddess and the sun god are different, the sun goddess is the earth god and the sun god is the mermaid world god
That's correct, but the latest chapter translating the sun God as sun goddess =)
