I'm only on ch 35 but I'm struggling to continue. I feel bad since this has good reviews but for some reason I just find this story kinda boring and lackluster. Some parts are interesting but that's mostly just the scenes with Jin and Matthew, and some of those are boring. I keep reading, hoping it'll pick up and get interesting but it's taking so long for the plot to start plotting. Please tell me it gets better soon cause I might drop it lol
I hate the summary sm because it makes it seem like Dooshik uses Jooha to try and get out of his debt, which isn't even close to what happened. I looked up Pearl Boy on Google, and it said Dooshik "uses" and "abuses" Jooha.... Like bitch when??? That man is a devoted partner and, dare I say, a green flag. I'm not saying he's perfect, but I just hate the misinformation. He never abused Jooha and definitely didn't "use" him; if anything, he was the one being used in the beginning to help Jooha make more pearls to get out of JOOHA'S debt. And Jooha needed him because if Dooshik left, then he would have to go back to Pilwon and getting gang-banged.
ahh yes, because nothing makes me hornier for sex with my best friend that I'm secretly in love with like getting gang-r@ped on the side of the street... ig?? Not the way trauma works but ok ig.
Also (ignoring the non-con somnophilia), I feel like Mooyoung would have agreed to mate with Heewon earlier if Heewon had just communicated that he had feelings for Mooyoung, instead of keeping silent and doing weird shit to him while he sleeps.
Speaking of sleeping, does Mooyoung go to another dimension when he goes to sleep? Like bro will sleep while Heewon treats him like a ragdoll, how does he not wake up ;-;
I've only read up to chapter 2 but I already hate Mr. Jo with a burning passion. He is literally a psychopath, who tf treats people like that??? Especially people they've slept with. Also I feel so bad for Kim Dan, poor baby did not deserve to be taken advantage of like that, he deserves better. Someone please tell me this gets better
I wish there were more plot, like I wish it were more about how Akihiro and Reiya didn't really like each other at first since they were forced to be in an arranged marriage, but then they slowly started to warm up to each other and fall in love AND THEN the smut came. Like this would be a good slow burn or enemies to lovers, UGH IT HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I'm not saying it was bad, the story was still good the way it was, but while I was reading, I just couldn't help but wish for something better, yk?
I love how Je-oh lives for the drama lol, he's such a baddie, by far my favorite MC ever. And Seong-rok being so down bad for him is *chef's kiss*. I also really like this story because even though it was about prostitution, the author didn't ONLY use smut as a plot point. The art is also really beautiful; if I could buy an English hard copy of this, then I would. If anyone has any recommendations similar to this, please lmk!
Side note for new readers: The smut is censored from Ch 1 - to - Ch 57: Season 2, but starting Chapter 58: Season 3, it's uncensored for the rest of the story. Hope this helps :3
Riku is 17 years old in high school, and Keiki is AT LEAST a decade or more older than him. He also r@pes Riku multiple times and isolates Riku from his family, AND puts him in a situation where he feels pressured to move in with Keiki in order to benefit his dad's company. All the while, Riku is falling in love with him, like come on! This literally romanticizes r@pe. I get the author wanted to write an omegaverse age-gap story, but there is such a thing as the gap being too soon (as in one partner is still a child). And yes, I know that towards the end, Riku was staying at Iriya's mansion, so he wasn't technically "isolated" and was actually working on self-improvement for a year before going back to Keiki; however, Iriya is still Keiki's best friend, so of course he's gonna influence him, even if he says otherwise. Also, he was literally texting Keiki (plus he called him like twice) all year. He was literally so scared of Keiki that he couldn't face him for a year after Keiki bit him without consent and r@ped him so hard he passed out and got a fever, and yet he was STILL in love with him! And then the first thing they do when they see each other again after a year is fvck, like bruhhhhh.
Idc what anyone says, this shit was horrible. Beautiful art, but absolutely HORRIBLE READ.

I love the story and how wholesome and fluffy it was at the end to make up for all the angst in the beginning and throughout the story that we had to suffer through. I also like how real it felt and how relatable some of the moments were. I love Euihyun's relationship with his little brother, and I also really like how he isn't a soft pushover omega MC, but instead actually puts up a fight and kicks ass with a temper. At first, I hated Taeju, I thought he was a CREEPY, weird, gross, perverted gangster freak, and I was really unsettled by the way he'd act with Euihyun. HOWEVER, I really loved and appreciated seeing Taeju's character growth and development, and I loved seeing how he and Euihyun started openly communicating with each other and talking things out. I think his redemption arc was handled very well, and I think he did a great job at redeeming himself and stepping up. I also loved how even though Taeju's family is full of alphas, they still openly accepted Euihyun, his brother, and his baby with open arms. I loved this story sm that I'm gonna buy the hard copies on Amazon.
