I’m glad that Haebom is receiving emotional support from everyone around him—his current roommate and now his parents as well. However, I can’t help but feel bad for Taesung, who seems to be fighting against his grandfather all alone, without anyone to provide him with the emotional support he needs.

Bro fr DX Haebom your man is MISERABLE and has been since you were gone go GET HIM

Personally, I don’t like Yujin, regardless of why he ran away. What bothers me most is how much Aaron is suffering emotionally because of him, even if Yujin had his own timid reasons. I really want Aaron to find happiness with someone else, while Yujin eventually realizes what he lost and regrets letting his fear control his choices.

As much as you’re right it feels so heartbreaking just thinking about it

    Shadow August 31, 2026 7:39 pm

But my heart truly breaks for Aaron. I feel so sorry for him because he seems to be agonizing so deeply, while Yujin—who claims to love him—doesn't even appear to be affected by seeing him in so much pain. It feels especially heartbreaking when Yujin seems to simply think, “He’ll eventually find someone better,” as if Aaron’s suffering doesn't carry the same weight for him.

I haven’t read this in a while but hasn’t Yujin always been pretty cold and distant compared to Aaron’s obvious affection for him? I was hoping season 3 might start showing us that Yujin regretted his choice and missed Aaron more than he expected to but I’m not seeing it.

Will probably need to keep scrolling to the comments each upload to see if things turn in that direction. This type of shit just pisses me off otherwise.

Yujin being dismissive toward Aaron's feelings is not without reason, tbh. I can not write all the details but please bear with me....

Actually, at some point, Yujin asked Aaron why he was acting like a real lover. Unfortunately, Aaron, with his big ego, replied that he wanted Yujin to be his "pet/prey, driven by a desire to conquer him rather than love him.
That was their first big fight. They continued to see each other, but Yujin moved out of his house, and their relationship became even more ambiguous.

On the day Yujin moved back in Aaron's house and was probably planning to call off his escape, his father's criminal past, which was tied to both Aaron and himself was broadcast on TV.
Reminder, all this time Yujin did not know that Aaron already knew Yujin was the son of a criminal who once tried to kill him.

If you've been reading from the get-go, Aaron has always had the upper hand in this relationship. Their contract-bound fake relationship, Aaron's star power, his money, his everything. He got whatever he wanted until that pivotal conversation happened and Yujin's father was released from prison earlier than scheduled.

Despite Aaron claiming he trusted Yujin, please read between the lines, HE DID NOT and I cannot stress this part enough.
Aaron always had his guys tailing Yujin, and he planted multiple trackers in Yujin's belongings. Those were not acts of trust.
The day Yujin left the country, he did not bring those things with him meaning he knew Aaron placed trackers on his belongings but he kept quiet.
He was most likely still thinking that to Aaron, he was just easy prey. Yujin 1000% does not think Aaron genuinely loves him.
Even after watching the news showing Aaron desperately searching for him, Yujin only thinks Aaron is finally going insane. But why? Is it because Aaron desperately wants to find his runaway "prey"? An obsession triggered by easy prey that's now on the loose? Or some scheme that Yujin himself doesn't even know about, revenge for example? After all, Aaron did point a gun at his face once.

We still don't know much about what happened in the past. We've gotten glimpses of Yujin's childhood, but not the actual crime where his father tried to target Aaron. It seems like Yujin was unknowingly and indirectly involved in his father's crime.
His father is also connected to higher-up criminals, political figures and probably TV station (?).
So his father "past" is not that simple either.

Also, we still don't know the full story behind his trauma. Why singing in front of people terrifies him, why he in the past stopped singing altogether or why he tends to scratch his neck so badly.

I appreciate this so much, really thank you for the time you took to write out and explain yujin’s pov in such a detailed way. His behavior makes total sense when you lay it out like this. I can also see where Yujin likely doesn’t understand Aaron’s affection and how deep it runs so the seeming indifference isn’t purposely hurtful.

    You're welcome!

IMO, Yujin might seem fine or at least not as openly depressed as Aaron, but they are two entirely different people living completely different lives.
For Yujin, surviving day-to-day and staying safe from his father has always been the top priority, long before he ever met Aaron.
Processing his emotions is a luxury he simply can't afford. Let alone figuring out Aaron's true feelings.
He did try once tho' only for Aaron to ridicule him.

People who live in survival mode usually can't afford to care about other people's suffering because they're too busy dealing with their own problems just to survive. That is why I call it a "luxury" Yujin can't afford.
In reality, a lot of people operate this way. Survive first, deal with the sadness later.

Some people may perceive Yujin as cold-hearted, but in my opinion, he's just being logical and he has valid reasons to be.

Aaron, on the other hand, lives in a completely different world. He has the wealth and power to shield himself from reality, luxuries Yujin never had.
Because of that, he actually has the time to overthink his feelings and dwell on their vague relationship. That is why Aaron appears to be more broken than Yujin right now.

Yes truly. I just wish Yujin should’ve realized sooner that the choices he made were very regrettable.
