I watched the anime when I was younger, and I remember actually liking it. Now that I’m much older and decided to read the manga, I genuinely don’t know what I saw in this relationship I clearly did not understand half of what was happening back then.

I hate the way Kyouya treats Erika. People kept saying, He gets better later, so I kept waiting for this amazing character development... and where is it?! Yes, he has moments where he’s nicer to her and you can tell that he cares about her, but his actual behavior barely changes! He’s still controlling, disrespectful, unnecessarily cruel, and constantly makes Erika prove herself while giving her the bare minimum in return!!!

I just don’t see their relationship as a healthy one...Half the time it feels less like a relationship and more like Erika desperately trying to earn basic affection from a guy who knows she’ll stay no matter what he does.
Maybe this was cute to younger me, but adult me was just getting annoyed

If no one picks up on this, the woman who asked Jay foe dinner in ch. 116, is the same woman Jay is having sex with in ch. 50.
And also the panel of him having sex in ch. 116, is the exact same panel of him having sex with this woman in ch.50.
