I reread the series again and I realised it has been hinted from the very first time Taesung’s mom find out about their relationship that his grandfather will be an issue. Like biggg ugly issue. She even warned him and told him to be careful. I think the author has always been having this plot planned all these times, and I don’t think it is fair that we are getting so mad about it. I think Haebom was kidnapped probably used as a sex slave, assaulted and tortured, hence why he refused to go back to Taesung in the first place. The guilt hit him hard. Also both he and Taesung has gone through so much before, so it can’t be something as simple as a normal “stay away or we’ll hurt you/Taeusung” threat for him not to return to his partner again. So I assumed it has to be something really horrible happened to him that is far too much for him to face Taesung again. Also the red haired guy said “after what happened to him, I didn’t think he’d function at all”, so it has to be something very traumatic.

So what’s been bothering him disappeared immediately after that. Basically it reassures Chika that Natsuki feels the same way about him as how he feels about Natsuki with others. It solidifies their feelings are mutual more than ever. That’s why Chika is like “I’m not trying to purposely make you feel jealous tho” and Natsuki was like “I lied about saying I was fine coz I don’t want to look petty and shit”. While the entire situation just make sense that why they are bothered about these stuffs coz they only ever think of each other and only love each other.
