Imo it's pretty obviously real, it's annoying that every chapter gets accused of being a dream because the story is never going to progress that way and Mok's dreams never lasted more than a few scenes and certainly not the whole chapter. What the author said is Mok's brain isn't working bc his blood is going south so it could pave the way to a Nanjo's pov chapter that can tell us exactly what happened
