+ I was actually confused when i read the novel. One minute Kael was crying, talking abt how he can only love diana in this lifetime then just chapter later, he was saying how much he wants to be real couple with hestia.

Oh and did I say about the non-consensual kiss that Kael did while hess was sleeping?? And when Diana apologized inisincerely, he penetrated hestia even though she declined at first. But you all know our fl is crazy abt this man so she just went with it halfway. My own interlretation to that scene is that he was using fl as a mere sexual release after meeting his dear, first love.

Fuck him I hate how Hess gave her all but he did nothing at all.

This person is heavily biased… He does love Hestia so don’t take that as a spoiler lmao. In the first place Hestia is the one who was doing all this revenge when Caelus didn’t really want it. If he’s not upset about it, I don’t see any reason to be upset about it. This is just my opinion, though. To say he didn’t love her just because it wasn’t in the way you wanted is crazy to me. Opinion cannot change fact.

I understand your opinion but I also feel as though you are not taking Caelus’ perspective into account.

I have seen so many people with this perspective and I find it hard to understand, but at the same time I can see where you’re coming from. I was genuinely surprised with the amount of people who had an issue with Kaelus and his decision. I am sorry, but it would be inconsistent with his character, who thinks of the Empire as his position as Grand Duke, to do something for a revenge that he wasn’t exactly pursuing himself. It was all Hestia, and Caelus was going along with it. Just because he does not want Diana to be deposed, it means he does not love Hestia? That is such an outrageous claim. Caelus already knew Helios’ and Diana’s relationship was on the rocks, I am sure he knew that they were eventually going to get a divorce, which is why he didn’t do anything. Even then, for him, his happiness is pretending that the two of them don’t exist and living a normal life with Hestia. Why does that make him a bad person? He is nonchalant about their affairs, and so what? He is the one who was hurt by them, not Hestia. It’s his decision about how they end up, and they made it. If anything, Hestia’s crisis over Caelus not wanting some dramatic form of revenge was even more ridiculous to me than him not wanting Diana deposed. He already saw the cracks within the house, it was going to collapse eventually,

Thaaaank youuu!! I actually finished reading the novel just now and im kind of disappointed that some people are considering dropping the manhwa cuz of these types of comments;; sure he dint love her at first but there was that mutual respect and interest that grew over the duration of their marriage which eventually led to love. And him helping Diana doesn’t mean he still has lingering feelings for her— as mentioned on the novel, the opposite of love isnt hate but “indifference”. Kael just dint wanna get involved with the issues surrounding the worsening couple anymore and just wants to focus on his and Hestia’s life. Thats it really.

But I agree w/ A-ssi on the hatred w/ the non-consensual scenes in the novel even if its just 2 scenes.. I just wished Kael apologized for them, esp on the part where he fucked her raw, it must’ve been so painful for Hestia but she couldn’t do anything about it but to accept it cuz its her “favorite” doing it to her. But who knows, maybe he did apologize and it wasn’t just mentioned on the novel?

ANYWAY, I DID RLLY JUST FINISH READING IT I LIKE HOW REALISTIC EVERYTHING IS PORTRAYED, i kinda hoped they showed how Diana was doing after everything was over. PLUS I wanted the epilogue to talk ab everyone’s lives till they all grew old and wrinkly but theres only so much an epilogue could contain right? ITS JUST THAT HELIOS AND DIANA ENDED IN A HAPPILY EVER AFTER ENDING TOO BUT THEIR LIVES AFTER THAT WASNT SO HAPPY YKNOW? Finishing it made me feel so empty maaan, but im glad they’re happy dbakdnsknd

I read the novel and the story, I saw that the author is changing things, they're not following all what in the original novel. For example in the novel kael still thinking about diana but in the story he got over it and start to love hestia so be optimistic, Maybe things will get so much better than the original novel (sorry my English suck I know)

I interpreted the ending differently. One thing that I want to point out is Kaelus has been and will always be a pacifist, which is what led to his original ending. Also this story isn’t really about Kaelus. It’s about Hestia’s personal journey and growth. Now I do feel as though Kaelus sometimes stunted her growth, but he also helped her along the way.

You expressed this perfectly. So many people don’t even realize that Hestia personal need for revenge was just that, PERSONAL. She fixated on Caelus because it gave her purpose, and I actually loved that Caelus helped her realize that she didn’t need to do that to survive. Also it’s crazy that so many people didn’t realize UNTIL THE END that Caelus wasn’t going to agree to the revenge plan. His entire MO is hiding in his house and pretending like everyone else doesn’t exist. That man is practically retired.

Ugh i was really gonna give you a piece of my mind. You're mad because he's different from how hestia describes him?! She's always fangirling over cael, she looks at him in rose tinted glasses and we the readers reading the novel from hestia's pov also took it that way. Yes cael is sweet and a loving person but he's also possessive, he has desires too. Hestia just thinks he's a perfect man without any flaws. I was also angry when he took hestia suddenly without any words or foreplay, like a beast (if you've paid attention hestia says cael changes into a different person in bed, his gentle persona disappers) but i understood why he did that. He felt disgusted by what diana was trying to do. The way she was trying to remind him of the past when he was blindly in love with her, and saying that now she understands his love for her and she regrets it all. Istg i wanted to drag diana by the hair all the way to sun palace and show helio that he almost got cuckolded

I finished the novel just a few days ago and was (still) upset about Cael's decision. all Hestia's efforts went to vain she was hurt it felt like he still favored her friends over her however he was excused he didnt want any revenge in the first place if she was doing that for him then she should respect his decision . The revenge was taking Hestia's time and eveything and he just wanted her and him away from his ex friend's problems he just wanted to live in peace with his wife now that he loved her that's why he did what he did so understandable i don't blame anyone but idk for some reason I'm still upset I wanted to see diana and prince humiliated I hated how the emperor still sided with her till the very end ugh anyways we got a happy ending and that's all what matters
