I think yeonwoo is a selfish and manipulative person. I do find them cute together but he’s so selfish with the whole I have no reason to live without you bs. He also has a mental illness which the author seems to think can just be cured by love. It’s disgusting watching Hwibum give up everything to be with him and I just could not enjoy the story even though I read it to the end lol. The whole move to America with me was what finally tipped me over and I just had to drop it. Hwibum worked so hard to be a teacher and he’s just supposed to abandon his dream, family and friends to move to the US for a boyfriend in a country where he knows no one but yeonwoo, not even the language. I hate that they never really explored yeonwoo’s issues and it’s just hidden behind oh he’s so cute. I know the art is pretty but tbh this is a textbook emotionally abusive relationship even though it’s written in a fluffy romcom style. Imagine living with someone that threatens to off themselves every time something doesn’t go their way. I know the bar for romance is pretty low in bl manhwas but just because a story doesn’t have non con doesn’t mean it’s good. Giving it an overall 5/10 just bc I really like Hwibum.

Need recommendations on omega verse that’s not about getting preggo and has an actual story. The writing in this is so incoherent. One minute they’re acting like strangers one minute they’re acting like childhood friends to lovers, the author is relying too much on flashbacks when unnecessary, just continue the flow instead of jumping scene then going back to it a chapter later. Also mcs relationship with his friends is so weird, the author starts conflict then just glosses over it. Overall 4/10 in execution. I hate the give your dreams up for a baby plot so much. The royal family being obsessed with basically teenage pregnancy in the 2020s is ridiculous, if it was in the 1800s I’d be like eh sure but you cant make a modern monarchy story with archaic traditions, might as well set it during the Joseon era lol.
