Let me start by saying that everything Im sharing comes from spending many years on this site, observing patterns across multiple accounts, and reading user reports. Im not the dev, mod, or admin but Ive had experience with systems which is why I can answer your “whys” and “what ifs”


THIS IS THE SITUATION
Jan19 - Bto closes
⠀⠀⠀*start of traffic surge to Mgo
⠀⠀⠀*some features have slowed down a bit
Jan24 - Mgo goes down
⠀⠀⠀*caused by backend updates or overloaded servers
Jan26 - Mgo comes back up
⠀⠀⠀*site is online again but very buggy: missing lists, random logouts, slow pages, no notifications, etc
⠀⠀⠀*this is when the system started gradually restoring lists

WHY IS THE SITE SO BUGGY
- Mgo uses separate parts for different things. One to SAVE your manga data (aka database/the memory), another one to DISPLAY your saved Manga data (aka UI/what you see), and another one for your browser/session data (aka cookies, login state, etc/this also connects the database and ui). When everything is working properly, these three systems stay in sync (eg. when you save a manga, it will show up in your list right away)

The system will communicate with Database, like hey this is the user that logged in go tell UI the things they should display. So Database will tell UI, like hey based on what's given to me, these are the saved data that belongs to this user, these are what you should display. HOWEVER, because of the gradual restoring of lists (which puts a heavy load on the site), the System, UI, and Database are not able to communicate properly, so theyre not in sync. This is why we’re encountering the issues

I DON'T GET NOTIFICATIONS
- since the System, UI, and Database are not in sync, Mgo cant correctly link your acc to your saved mangas so notifs dont show up/update properly. This is temporary and should be fixed when the system is in sync again

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING LOGGED OUT
- Mgo keeps track of your login/session info. But if this isnt tracked properly, Mgo may log you out randomly/repeatedly

WHERE DID MY LIST GO
- Your mangas are not deleted. Theyre still saved in the database. Mgo is gradually restoring everyone’s list from the oldest to most recent marked mangas. Follow this post to get notified about updates: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/

WILL I GET MY LIST BACK
- YES. Do note that while your list is coming back, you might notice some things are off:
⠀⠀⠀*all mangas going into Already Read even if theyre originally marked as Want to read or Reading
⠀⠀⠀*deleted mangas showing up again
⠀⠀⠀*missing notes/summaries
⠀⠀⠀*only rated mangas showing for some users
(I can explain why but it will be too long for this FAQ. idk how to explain without sounding too technical so i might also have to explain the basic terms. You can ask in the comments if youre curious)

I ADDED NEW MANGAS TO MY EMPTY LIST, WILL IT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONE
- if you ADD NEW mangas while the site is restoring, your new list will stay. And your original list will be added back on top of it once its fully restored. But if you RE-ADD EXISTING mangas, it will update the original date of when the manga was added, tags, and summaries/little notes you originally had for it. its usually best to wait and let the restoration finish before making lots of changes

WHY DO OTHERS HAVE THEIR MANGAS BACK ALREADY, WHILE MINE IS STILL MISSING
- think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest. Right now, we are reading timestamps from Feb 2022 (as of writing this post), so any timestamp dated later than Feb 2022 wont appear YET

If your lists are still completely EMPTY, there are 2 possible reasons:
One is that its about “activity”, not account age. So even if you joined in 2016, but you didnt add any manga until 2023, your list wont appear until the system reaches the timestamps for 2023. The second reason is, since the system is very busy right now, it sometimes hits a blurry page and has to skip to keep moving. This doesnt mean your data is gone. It just means the system needs to go back for a second run once the "main reading" is done

HOW SOON WILL THEY COMEBACK / WHEN IS THE RESTORATION EXPECTED TO FINISH
- how soon your lists fully comes back depends on how far along we are in the “book” and how many timestamps we still need to read. If yours already started to appear again then thats a good sign. it means your account is already in the queue and the rest should continue to come back (gradually, not all at once)

If theres another run, expect anywhere from a few extra hours to about one extra day. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.

IS THERE A WAY TO EXPORT MY LIST

IMPORTANT: WHEN TO CONTACT SUPPORT
- PLEASE WAIT. Do not email the devs yet. The system needs to make several runs to load everyone's data correctly. Most of the current issues should fix themselves after the full restoration process is done. Give it at least 2 weeks from now.

If after everything finishes and youre still seeing clear errors in your marked mangas, report them to [email protected]

If possible, keep a small log of your observations and what you did, such as:
⠀⠀⠀*whether you re-added, edited, or deleted mangas during restoration
⠀⠀⠀*any repeated issues (random logouts, missing notifs, errors, etc.)
⠀⠀⠀*the other specific errors you noticed
Simply put, keep a log of WHAT YOU DID/OBSERVED and WHEN (use GMT or if in your local time, specify your timezone). The more specific your report is, the easier it is for the devs to trace what went wrong. It helps them replicate your actions so they can actually find and fix the problem

Here's an example log:
2026-01-26 9PM: I noticed my list went missing
2026-01-28 2AM: my list is restoring up to 67
2026-01-28 9PM: I added 10 mangas to my Already Read
2026-01-30 6PM: my restored mangas is stuck at 67
2026-01-31 10AM: my list count is increasing again. It restored up to 83
2026-01-31 7PM: I added 3 mangas to my Want to Read

Hi guys, I just came back after finishing ch 80, let me summarise some things for you guys, be aware, spoiler warning

1.So basically, our MC (kihyun) is the reincarnation of moony, who was the servent if the young master. Manager jeon is the reincarnation of the young master.

2. Let me clear out the back story first, so, in the past life, young master was a huge player, and he couldn't stand his servants for long, kept on changing them. He was very handsome so everyone was struck by his visual and he was annoyed by it (specially his servants). Moony was a huge stalker, he always looked at him, to the point it was really creepy, he'd get jealous of his male fuckbudies, at some point he was like 'I need to get rid of that dude master is banging', master ignored it till then cuz moony was a hardworker and he thought moony is better than having a servant who is even more annoying/unpleasant than him. But after moony's obsession was becoming too much, he planned to get rid off him.

3. At that time, in the village, there was a snake monster, the villagers dug a huge hole to catch the monster, young master led moony to that hole and told him to get down on the pit cuz he was curious, but once moony went down, he left.

4. After a day or so, as people were questioning why moony wasn't trailing after him, he said he left him in the hole and to go rescye him if he's still alive

5. Moony went into a coma, he was half alive, like breathing but no response no conscious, he laid down for months, the master eventually forgot about him, he was enjoying his freedom yet again, but after I think a few months he one day went to the servants quarter and saw moony, and he suddenly was interested in him. Why, I'll explain, but first let's talk about young masters kink cuz it is tied to it.

6. Young master likes non-con play, and later he realizes he has necrophilia (his growing interest in moony's corpse like body), he likes people that don't listen/like him. This is why he hated moony because he was always blushy/salivating looking at him.

7. A rumor starts in the village that the snake monster can shape shift into the victims that it eats alive. So in order to bring moony back (at this point, young master has stopped fooling around/drinking/banging and spends all his time looking at unresponsive moony laying down all day), he decudes that if he lets the snake eat moony, then moony will comeback and not die (moony's body has shrunk, and his comatose body will die soon). So he calls a shaman to help him, spends money to capture the snake alive.

8. The shaman is Yuran's anchestor (the lady in the office is Yuran), she is the descendent of the shaman that helped young master. Her family gets cursed for generation for doing something like this, the ritual, I will explain later.

9. The master tells the shaman to store away a fragment of moony's soul in an object, so that when the monster transforms, the corpse like moony comes back, because he doesn't want healthy moony back. The shaman is shicked and mumbles that she feels sorry for moony, because he met a bad master and will be turned into alive monster (her descendents bare this pity for moony for generations and also tge bad karma for this ritual).

10. So the ritual goes, they will feed the snake moony's blood, which will trigger the snake to transform into human form (moony's body), and consciousness. They store a fragmant of his soul into a bookmark that the young master once gave to moony. They plant to split moony's soul into 2 parts, so that healthy moony is not back. But the ritual goes wrong, reason why our MC doesn't have a soul at all, he is part moony but he himself doesn't have a soul, it's empty.

Even though both are trash, it is sad for moony because when alive, the master didn't like him, but when half alive, like a cirpse, he suddenly says he loves him (yes, this is what the young master continues to say). So this is the reason why MC didn't wanna remember his past, it was in the back of his mind, why he ignored and pretended to know nothing, because he didn't want to remember why the master likes him after all those time.

12. Let's get back to the ghosts we have, focusing on MC side. So, as of now, we can say, moony's soul is split into 3 parts, the MC (who doesn't know and is not aware of the past, till he sees through dreams), the snake one(extends neck, this is the stalker/blushy moony)(any time I mention snake soul/snaky, I refer to the old obsessed original moony), and the subconscious one hidden behind MC's mind(the monster moony, from the failed ritual, the one who seeks revenge on master and shaman), that came out only twice (I won't spoil why it came out). As for the manager/master, it is split into these 2. Manager jeong comes to know about his fate (that he and MC are meant to be together in this life) after MC and he visits Yuran and her grandma who is a shaman, who tells him.

13. The snake soul part of moony at first didn't know that MC is the reincarnation of himself (mainly cuz he doesn't have a soul of his own). Manager jeong immediately feels drawn to him, because MC is reincarnated with his type of face and voice. But since snake didn't knkw, he gets annoyed at him and even hates MC and sabotages him, hence he tries to get manager and Jumin together instead because he feels more related to Jumin (because jumin tried to approach manager but gets hard ignored lmao so snake is like besty lemme help you (end mf ends up sabotaging himself) and forces manager to ignore (and later) hate MC and be lovey dovey with Jumin by controlling his mind). Snaky also splits a part of manager's soul to replicate his body to torment MC and ruin their dynamic even further. But snaky, once realizes the huge ass blunder he did, comes clean to MC (by talking to him through Yuran's body) and says 'bestie I'm sorry, I swear imma help u get back together, all we gotta do is be loved by manager, cuz that's what we (moony) deserve'. So MC is like ok, I get it, but why do I have to be loved, you're moony too, so why don't you get loved and leave me alone and snaky is like 'bitch I wanna get banged as well but I don't have a fucking body, I can't get the juice, so it has to be you, I'm gonna get budhistava and go back to heaven as a virgin (yes, he indeed sats that, I'm not joking). So MC takes all these info in, gets banged by young master, manager gets jelly and argues 'bitch get the heck out, that hole is mine' (again, this exact line is in there, I ain't kidding) so master is like shut up and get sucked, so it turns out into a 3some for like 5 mins, (before this, master banged MC all night so he passes out). After waking up, Yuran is like 'why are you taking so long and pretending not to know anything, get manager's love fast and break this curse', she pushes him quite a lot and the moony that was hidden inside him gets angry and says 'why are you pushing him? Isn't it your own fault for accumulating a karma like this, are you gonna do this to me in this life again? (The hidden moony is hurt/angry and realizes why master likes him after being half dead and he doesn't appreciate it, so he's against MC sacrifice and trying for manager's love (well, I don't know he's totally against it, but he warned Yuran not to rush MC or force him), master overhears Yuran telling MC to try for maanger's love and he doesn't like it (yes, Jeong's 2 parts are fighting each other over MC, manager doesn't wabt him like this, he wants build up, but master doesn't care cuz he's trash), so he confronts MC about it. MC asks him why he says he loves him now when he hated him in the past life, when he was alive, master says bs about him loving how no natter how much he called him he didn't answer, didn't look or respond and he loved it and fell in love so he wanted the corpsy moony back. MC realizes how trash he is and his memories get triggers, he sees the backs stroy and wakes up crying. And says 'so this is the reason why I didn't want to recall my memories all this time'. This is how much I read.

14. Take a note of one thing, so the parts of the souks are vastly different from each other, for example, for MC, snaky part is the puppy/blushy/stalker moony that is obsessed with master/manager, the MC (reincarnated moony with no soul) looks like manager's type, and his personality is also how master would like it (he doesn't like manager, not blushy, not coy, hates non con etc), he doesn't want anything to do with all this and wants to get back to ordinary life. The hidden moony is hurt/resentful, realizes trashy master, is aware of the unfairness or cruelty of the ritual performed in him, is he hostile or not, what he wants- we don't know for sure yet. As for Joeng- master (trasy, player, necrophilia, kinky, doesn't care about any of the moony's feelings or consent, just doesn't want MC to die, wants to bang. Manager- wasn't aware of any of the shit surrounding his past self, was manipulated by snaky, is attracted to MC but doesn't want non-con sex, confused by MCs behaviour most of the time. Realizes what's his fate is after being told by granny shaman, doesn't seem to believe it fully, but hates when master bangs MC, and stops master (tries to, mf is strong).

Y'all I'm back, so yuh, master was telling him the story of his past life and MC is shocked and crying and grabs him by the neck, saying how could he do this, the keast he could've done was let him die in a friggin coma like normal. But no, he drained his blood and performed a failed ritual, he remebers the feeling of getting stabbed and all that followed. He's super angry, but master is saying that's not all, after the ritual failed, he did a lot of sacrifices to keep his hody alive, then a shaman came and told him 'if not this, then what about the next life'

Something fun is happening, so monster moony is mad at MC for remembering the past that he didn't wanna remember, so he's like you promised me you'd pretend not to know/interact with master again in this life and not recall the past but you did it, so I have to takeover and clear this mess. So he takes over, stabs master (yessssssss), says 'I gotta give you back the pain you gave me', master flees from body, manager gets back and is like 'why am I here, wasn't being stabbed a dream' and monster moony is liie butch how long are you gonna pretend it's not you huh?, I don't care, get stabbed, and goes to find Yuran, snaky is like why did you take over, you can't handle this, your body can't bear it, and nosty is like bitch move, I have business with Yuran. Honestly, well deserved, the revenge is justified (manager didn't die, he's just on the floor). I'll comeback after reading further.
