I can’t imagine how exhausting it must be to be Chowan. It is like his whole life is following a script and it isn’t even going the right way. No wonder he rebels. Deep down he wants to break out and maybe have a crush, live a little.
So, look at the plants. They change, during the chapter showing that time is passing. It starts out in spring. So, Spring is when Kai finds out he is pregnant and (⌒▽⌒) Luard is doting on him. Summer is when the kids are lounging around the pond. Then, when the kids are getting measured for clothes, look out the window and you see snow. It is now winter and something wonderful certainly has happened. Kai and Luard have a baby!

I love the tension between the two main characters. Amami makes me laugh. Every one of his reactions surprises me. He’s “not gay” but at the same time he’s pissed that Hachi doesn’t go all the way with him. Hachi is who he is, but kind of acts protectively of Amami. Not your usual 6 part resolution. This is a gem.
Kind of worried that Doctor Player is going to hurt our sweet boy.
