The author wrote in a stupid plot armor point here. Required to inform your partner? Too early? Puh-leaseee. That’s dumb. What if the omega didn’t know who the other parent was? What if it was a result of rape? Like that’s dumb even to move the plot forward. Also why would it make sense for it to ever be too early for an abortion?!! The earlier it is, the less likely the pregnancy has actually affected the body in significant ways. That pissed me off

I’ve posted the name for the novel in the title.




Throughout the novel his thought process is so well described like you can feel his despair and thoughts. The manwha misses some other key ideas and I think plays it off and misses the subtle signs so you don’t see the extent of his feelings and mental Illness.

In the novel you can see it and really feel it.

It really does feel like he is in a depressing illusion.

I recommend you read the novel because it’s just so good. It’s a bit long with 226 chapters but my god is it so worth it.

This is from chapter 45 in the manwha and I’m not sure the novel chapter but if you read from the novel, read from the beginning everything will make more sense. Please don’t take my yap as a substitute for the novel plzzzz read the novel!!!

Also the entire story is told from the perspective of the bottom, Seo Seungwon.

Anyway let’s start!!

Basically Tae Seong-jae (Top) finds out Seo Seung-won (the bottom) is drinking. The bottom goes out to meet Ji Min at his house for lunch I think and he receives a bottle of alcohol. Moo-Hyun shows up at the bottoms house where Ji Min is staying. Weird asf.

Anyway the bottom ask for the bottle as it was fancy or whatever and Ji Min says it’s no biggy as he got it from his past part time job as a bartender from his boss as a gift.

He ends up going home later and the top find out about him still drinking. The top gets upset and demands the bottom take out all the alcohol in the house and present it.

It’s a ridiculous amount btw and it’s hidden everywhere. He also puts the gift bottle too.

The top initially gets angry and the bottom gets reprimanded. The top then starts crying because he’s so worried that the bottom will die. He’s already seen the nose bleeds and fainting but he also despairs every time the bottom looks bored when getting looked at with the doctor like he’s already fine with his death.

The bottom very quickly drops to his knees to start begging. The bottom I think tries to say something and make an excuse but the top takes off his tie and tells the bottom to stuff it in his mouth because he doesn’t want to hear him. (He thinks he might hurt him so it’s better that he doesn’t hear him so he doesn’t get more upset)

The top is seething and he starts to drink the alcohol he put on the table. He starts with the “ion drink” that’s full of soju. Then he drinks an actual full bottle of soju. After that he opens the gift bottle and drinks that too.

At this point the bottom is worried for the tops health because he’s drinking very quickly. The bottom can see that he’s already heavily intoxicated. He is also basically hanging on to the hem of his shirt and rubbing his face into his thigh, pleading.

The bottom gets dragged to the living room and is then raped. The bottom goes along with it because he doesn’t want to be abandoned and more importantly believes it’s justified because he lied first and put the top in distress.

During the whole rape, he even is mindful of the tops instructions not to make a sound and tried hard not to scream. Even biting his arm at one point.

He passes out and when he wakes up it’s described in the novel as the stench of semen, alcohol and blood assaulted his senses making him nauseous and how his stomach hurts. They are still ‘connected’ with him on top of Seung won and passed out. He tried to disconnect himself to at least empty his stomach and he succeeds but doesn’t get far when he thinks the top is waking up and puts it back in willingly because he doesn’t want to upset him further.

It might sounds like he was scared but he wasn’t scared of what the top might do to him but instead the tops reaction to him separating from him. He promptly passes out and spends like another 3 days in and out of sleep and honestly it’s never really mentioned until later and not brought up.

The top is scared that the bottom will leave him and the bottom doesn’t really think it’s rape because he “loves him so much” and it’s “justified” because he “betrayed him”, the one thing the top told the bottom not to do.

So it’s not mentioned until much later.

The top also knows what he did was wrong and also has the conversation later that he doesn’t want the bottom to dismiss it by rationalizing that it’s fine because he loves him when that might not be the case one day and the bottom will be hit with it all over again.

A while later they continue a fragile peace. The bottom wants to be honest with the person he loves so he tells the top the truth about the novel. He also decide this for another two reasons.

First, he suspects that the brother knows this world is a novel because he mentioned the title when he came over unexpectedly that one time and then the next day went to the bottoms university as if he went to check the existence of the main characters. The bottom started to realize this while in his room at his parent’s house and he saw an old note.

(BTW, The whole reason the bottom went to his parent’s house was to get his school uniform to wear it and have sex with the top. This is relevant later.)

Second is that when he went to his parent’s house, his brother told the top that he was crazy. He hears this and comes back in to meet his “mother” and asks her the same question. He realizes that everyone sees him like he’s crazy and only decided to placate him so he doesn’t have another seizure and die. (Obv not the case with the brother/sister)

He starts to think that he really is for a second but it’s portrayed as mainly because the top didn’t believe him either and not so much the parents or others. The bottom ends up getting scared and ran but he almost passed out on the street, coughing copious amounts of blood. Luckily the top found him!

Anyway, The top doesn’t believe the notion but is supportive of his feelings surrounding it due to the stress induced illness. The bottom initially kept a secret about his fate in the novel and the tops original involvement but later discloses that he was fated for suicide but not the tops involvement in it.

This pushes the top to get on board with his plan to destroy Moo-Hyun and support Ji Min if only for the bottoms sake not to commit suicide. (The top believes the bottom is mentally ill, which he is but more like schizophrenic not depression, and had been planning his death already and masked it under the guise of a story)

The bottom after that confronts the brother and realizes that’s his sister from the past life. He finds out it was a story her friend wrote at her request, to have a character similar to the brother, to have that ending and all that.

He gets pissed because how could she have willed his life to be so miserable and how could she have just stood by and not even told him that he wasn’t crazy for believing the world was fake. That she too was from the outside. How he struggled so much in anxiety and fear because of the need to follow the plot to go home, the pain he suffered, and the toll on his mental health. The bottom says that he doesn’t want to see her and leaves it like that.

The bottom goes to see the top in his school uniform and then the top realizes that he never told the bottom his name and asks how could he possibly know that.

The bottom gets really scared that the look on the tops face means that he was going to cut him off. He runs out of there and the top doesn’t follow. The bottom is then hit with a pipe on his head while running and is kidnapped.

The time period passed while kidnapped is not mentioned but it’s estimated to about 3 days but described as much longer. The bottom is continuously injected with drugs so perception of time warps.

He escapes when he gets the chance but is in the woods. He runs and uses the stuff in his bag (he was correct they didn’t even check it) but falls down the mountain side and hits his head, into a tree, for the second time.

It wipes his memory and he only remembers his previous life but it’s incomplete and every passing moment he’s losing more memories as if the clock was being turned back moment by moment.

He keeps walking until he finds a village and is taken in by an elderly women. The time is described as maybe no less than 2 weeks but in reality the seasons had already changed. Over 3 months has passed from fall to winter.

The top finds him and picks him up. The top has his memories back from his previous life and he is the senior the bottom fell in love with!

There is a funny little interaction due to the way his relationship was introduced by the old lady that the bottom thinks he’s the step brother and he’s commuting incest. Lol

Long story short (crazy when I wrote so much) the top waits patiently for the bottom. His whole demeanor changes with the addition of his newfound memories. (He’s still a little twisted but he gets kinder? More desperate) The top also starts to seduce him and boy is it working. He takes the bottom to recuperate at his family’s estate.

After a bit, the top starts to introduce the people who know about the novel and his friends. The top tells him to listen as if it were someone else’s life.

First, the bottom talks to his friends. The characters are similar to his real life friends with subtle differences and the bottom starts to pick up on it throughout more conversation but doesn’t mention it to his friends. Rightfully so, he’s confused and asks the top.

The bottom has a moment while speaking with the top and thinks that it’s only possible if there was a double life or split personality. The top reiterates the same message and to be open minded basically.

He then meets with his brother (the sister) and his friend is there too the one who wrote the book. Believing the girl to be his sister he goes addresses her but the boy corrects him and reveals his identity. A funny little interaction happens and the bottom thinks he transitioned lol.

The bottom starts to get really stressed cuz stuff’s not adding up and even a bit of separation anxiety to the top when he tries to leave to give them space (literally right outside the door)

The bottom gets really sick for a moment and passes out briefly. The top and bottom end up leaving the room but stay within earshot.

When they step out, the two inside (sister and friend) start arguing about how it was all the sister’s fault because she willed this world to be how it was because if it was truly the friends will then she would have changed but she didn’t.

The top tells his men to separate them because the bottom isn’t calming down due to the noise. Don’t know where the girl went but the sister ends up on the edge of the pond. It’s winter btw but not freezing over I guess.

A little later when everyone is calm the kind bottom goes to try and console his brother (sister). The sister has a nervous break I guess and starts shouting and crying and acting erratically. She grabs his shoulders and shakes him. (He’s weak due to well, everything and still suffering after effects from the kidnapping and injuries related to it)

She gets on her knees and starts praying. The bottom is freaked tf out and gets scared because they had gotten close to the ponds edge and he almost falls in. His legs get stiff and he gets an episode of dizziness and actually falls in.

His heart actually stops and he dies. He’s brought back but he lies in a coma for 2 months. This turns out to be the catalyst for his memory coming back as he was still crushed underneath the building and technically alive in the other world which is why he was so sick in the novel even though his character doesn’t have that trait.

During this coma he starts to recover all his memories and very clearly from both lives.

It’s implied that the top comes to visit him daily and in the only case that’s written were he’s lucid enough, the top asks the bottom to wake up and that he loves him but then after a bit like giving him a chance to open his eyes, he confesses that it’s ok to sleep a little longer and continue sleeping and that if he dies he will follow along quickly, dying together as they had on the day of death of the first life.

The bottom quickly musters up his strength and opens his eyes but that’s all he can do. He mimes words to the top and says “Sunbae, don’t die” signifying that he remembers the first life.

Eventually he starts rehab and gets better but the both of them have really bad anxiety. Like if they are apart they have to stay on call together like a video call so they can see and hear each other. When the top goes to work he has an earpiece and the bottom just talks to him.

It’s mutual, they are both broken together so it’s all good. The top develops sleepwalking and insomnia. The top gets treated and gets sleeping pills along with other things and takes more medicine daily than the bottom.

The rape technically wasn’t his fault too. You find out later that the bottle of alcohol was spiked with a date rape drug. The place we’re Ji Min got the bottle and worked at was a major distribution point for drugs and he happens to get gifted a bottle which landed in the bottoms hands and was consumed by the top.

The place only gets busted cuz the top reported it. Like he had a feeling or something and figured out it was spiked.

Related to that place, Moo-Hyun gets busted for drug trafficking and went to jail. His life is pretty much over. (The top pulls through!!)

They even arrested him at a drug party (pretty sure the top staged it)

It also turns out that in the first life it was the bottom who was obsessive and even acts crazy just so they can be together. He even stalks the top and follows him home which even the top didn’t do in his second life.

Everything ends up good and well while they are slightly broken they are broken together.

They do heal together though (not much, they are still obsessed and dependent on each other) and they are much stronger.

I must have problems… because man did I love Guwon in this moment

But like, I feel like they have less organic chemistry than the first couple, or maybe it’s like…I believe it less? Maybe their facial expressions are too flat? Which is weird, since the art is way better than the first story. Idk, I just feel like their attraction to each other doesn’t feel super deep. It could be the progression of the story causing these feelings? Idk but seeing them together doesn’t drag emotions or attachments to the characters out of me. And I also read the novel and felt the same way. I thought the manhwa would make me feel different.

**Then again... This whole arc is straight sh** and NEITHER of the characters would reasonably act like this based on everything we’ve read so far, so I take it all back. The author sucks for butchering their characters like this. This better be a bad dream

The characters are psychotic but the story is magnificent. It actually is a great re-read once you understand the mindsets of all the characters after the first read

I mean it’s called the Nerd Formula. I think Seonwu probably had a crush on the FL for awhile and changed his image to fit that. It makes sense that if he was popular a long while ago that it would take some time to take his name off the map. But idk why the author is drawing back so much to the ex. I haven’t seen enough red flags (maybe yellow to borderline orange) from Seonwu that makes me think she should get back with her ex. Ugh I wish this would update faster. I need closure on who is the actual ML.
