I haven't read the novel (and maybe I'll look for it soon) but I have a theory...
I mean, from my understanding (the translation is kinda confusing at times + english is not my first language) there are two or three options: 1) Jio did actually die in the fire and it transformed him in a monster that has no malice towards humans because he didn't have bad memories/feelings towards humanity when he died, and Jio hasn't realized yet that he's dead 2) he didn't die, but he was the first human with powers before the cataclysm and him using his powers to escape the fire caused it(?) and 3) theory number 2 but his painting or he himself is the root/god of gods even tho he doesn't give off divine aura

I'm on ch 87 of the novel and yeah, the theory that's strongest at the moment is that he is at or he himself is the origin of it all lmao and if that's true I really love an op character that doesn't know he's op
this is such a bummer. this story would make no difference without the girls crushing on Alon, so why tf do they do?? dropped the rating from 5 to 2 stars after the lion girl asked him to marry her and he didn't straight up told her he sees her as his daughter, blergh
