I'm trying to find this manga, it was part of an anthology where only this one was yaoi I believe.
The mc saw a movie where a man killed himself after reaching peak happiness in his life. The mc also has this ideology which is why he does not try to actually live, he is living in a complete mess.
The ml or the Uke decides to leave him. The mc after losing the uke realised that his peak happiness was being together with the ml, which is why he stopped trying to live a good life. So the ml will never get together with the mc because the ml wants to see mc living his life properly. In the end mc cleans after himself and starts living and also chasing after the ml, which is his peak happiness.
It was only a one chapter story. I read it a year ago so I might've missed important key details but the major plot is the same.
