I just want to ask, how do someone start writing a manhwa. Do you start with novels, is it compulsory? Or you just start with the comic. And what are the processes.

A lot of manwha start with a novel, it’s not necessarily required but there are still a lot that just go about the comic first

They create a story and illustrate it. If they can't draw they make an artist do the job. And not every manhwa comes from a novel, but a lot do. If a novel gets adapted they also just make an artist draw it and a scriptwriter do the writing

not all start with novels, it's just if a novel has enough popularity it will get adapted into another form.
the process usually is script (what characters going to say), storyboard/laying down panels, sketch, line, color, background, vfx, adding speech bubbles/typesetting. drawing the background and adding npcs/crowd is usually done by an assistant anywhere between the line to color stage (though the vague bg is done during the storyboard/sketch phase. some manwhas have separate people for every stage of the work
