Green flag this, green flag that… this was genuinely such a painful read. For anyone curious, here’s an accurate summary of this manga:
Main character:
“I-I’m so pitiful… I-I-I’m so sad… b-but I’m amazing at playing the violin! C-c-can I pwease gwab your pinky…? Nghh~ Eek~! Anyways! I’m going to play Mozart! It’s called Las Coochies, Las Perlas de las Noches…” ”
Male lead:
“He’s so annoying. Why won’t he look me straight in the eye?… Wait, didn’t I save his pathetic ass when he was trapped inside a car trunk? H-h-he’s so sad! H-how can he still smile after going through a-all that?! Ugh… nyaurgh~! I’m gonna play him in a documentary with my big white-blond, green-ass eyes or whatever. It’s close enough! He’s Asian… but he’s pale. Hmm, yeah, that’s close enough!”
Everyone who knows the violinist:
“He’s been through so much… hmphh~~ I can’t believe it… ugh i-i-i’m cumming! nyah~”
Like girl PLEASE. They glorify the main character so much that it becomes exhausting. The author keeps shoving his traumatic experiences down our throats every other chapter, and after a while it just feels repetitive instead of emotional.
What’s even worse is that it’s always a different character reminding us.
“H-h-he’s been through so much… t-that’s why he’s like this… w-we have to adjust… understand him… he’s just a wittle baby!
