Honestly could relate so much to the FL, I love children and would make that same choices as her. FL was nice, mature and knew what she deserved and how she should be treated. ML was understanding and quite respectful.
I cant be the only one passed at the uncle for letting his wife ruin his sister's reputation and love and then treat his own niece as a maid . Like he could have stopped it all and told Jane the truth that they were closely related and given her equal status. But noooooooooooo he kept quiet about it all despite knowing it all. How the fuck is Bess still in contact with her family after everything they have done to her. They degraded her, and wanted her to get married to that fuckface Tom who continously mentally and emotionally abused her and her sister that had an affair with Tom and took his side when she knew how he treated her sister.
I dont blame Bess for sleeping with Luca since she deserves it after having to be in an engagement with the fucking egotistical and misogynistic Tom.

Have to agree with your take on this story. At first, I thought the FL was nearly as bad as the sister and Tom. Took another look at it, and realized that Bess was lucky not to be a candidate for inpatient mental health for the foreseeable future. With her filthy family and toxic douche bag fiance, she should have been popping prozac like candy. I stand by my belief that the family and Tom belong on the Jerry Springer Show.
