I feel like the old officer partner of the MC set him up, cause it sounds like people are confused why he, of all people ran away, and even the MC is confused by how own actions. In theory, Recessive traits can actually stabilize hyper traits better than Hyper and Dominant traits. So, that's probably why he's more stabilized now. If they realized how important recessive traits are in omega verse I feel like it would definitely change outcomes for the "stigmata" around Hyper, Dom and recessive.
