I feel like alot of people's judgements about Chang are clouded because of how hot he is. If Chang was ugly not nearly as many people would be siding with him regardless of how complex his character is. i blame it on the halo effect.

I know that a lot of yaoi had rape in it and I've read plenty with some fucked up scenes but in this context its just sad. He wants to be with the bottom so bad and hates the abusive ex a lot for what he does but he goes ahead and pushes the bottom way too far from his own comfort. Like this guy knows that the bottom has a bad past but keeps pushing the bottom out of his comfort zone and its upsetting ya know, he can't say he wants to help and then do that.
