Why must the barbarian always have a darker skin tone, if barbarians are ruthless conquerors won’t it make more sense for them to be white colonizers, who so ruthlessly killed and plundered land from the natives and took in slaves because they believed them to be less than human. Why is it then that so frequently people of my color and those who are darker are portrayed as barbarians. It’s a really overdone and disgusting trope that I doubt will ever see an end because there is so much racism in this world and some don’t even realize when they contribute to it. Sorry for my rant, I’m just extremely frustrated as this is the 4th example of this racist trope that I’ve seen on this page alone. I’m not mad at the artist, I highly doubt they did this out of any animosity towards people my complexion but I just wish more people were aware of this.

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words, racism in bl (manhwa in general tbh) is so rampant it's genuinely so disheartening...I wish so badly for a non-white dark skinned bl character who isn't aggressive, treated like a savage, or be part animal. Why is it so hard for authors and artists to do a modicrum of research?? It's 2026 and the Internet is free. Not like the supporters/readers are any better
I quite enjoy conversing with the imbeciles. It reminds me that my moments of stupidity are fleeting; for some, it appears to be a permanent state of being. Alas, it seems spending numerous hours on this site is bringing me down to their level, and I fear the effects may begin eroding my brain cells. I will be gone for an indefinite period of time.
