Alexithymia is a disorder where someone has “emotional blindness” which means they have a hard time recognizing, processing, and describing emotions. Not sure if this is what they have but…

hello there! in my case, i do feel the most basic ones (happy, sad, anger for example) but when it comes to more complexed ones (jealousy, discomfort, confusion) it does take me a while to process them, but i luckily was followed in therapy from a young age so i learned some coping mechanisms. as for the others, it does in fact affect my relationships with others, i do struggle understanding their emotions sometimes so it happens for me to accidentally be insensitive towards them. even now its quite difficult since i have recently been diagnosed with a couple months ago but if you want to know some more, in my case i have a “social communication disorder”. i hope it didnt confuse too much…
