started reading this bcs im hooked on that cover and it's actually pretty interesting? the characters are pretty likeable too??
the way this went downhill since like chapter 20 and that SA scene is just final nail on the coffin.....the author really wasted the potential in that plot
everyone in here in messy as hell ffs but i've met people irl who act like MC, her friend, and those men too so i would say this pretty realistic view of modern day hook-up culture for some reasons
thought sa-yan died omg...turns out its all ilic's nightmare but honestly i liked that the epilogue is about them in their later years when both of them are old men because it's pretty rare in BL

i hate how senevier is so well written like the author really made you can't love her (for obvious reasons) and can't hate her at the same time
she really is smart and it’s makes me happy to see a sly empress that wants to make her own son the emperor type shit in current events and not as a flashback!
one of my fav to reread like it was just right not too much and not to underwhelming like im glad it ended well for everyone and the ml's redemption arc was so delicious to me
