Im not sure how they got those, maybe from furigana... But the previous fan translation was easier to understand (despite the different transliteration of some names)
Ive just finished watching the anime and was interested in reading the light novel (same cover here with his white hair) but apparently it is published by Alphapolis and that publisher has no interest in publishing their novels into english.. RIP

It's always been like that in the manga and anime, I think its to show his silliness? I mainly think this bc there are times in the manga where Mame is drawn "normally" when things get serious or when he does something good (I don't rlly know how to explain it ), and I love that abt his character
