To be clear, you can have someone from the US beat a Japanese guy but it’s either their home countries are incidental, the US guy is just being built up as a big bad before going down to a Japanese guy, or the US guy is like sorted on the Japanese side like they are the protagonist team mate sort of thing. However, anytime they specifically say it’s a United States vs Japan thing the United States is going down. So when it was just the character Adam vs it was up in the air. As soon as they said it was United States Street fighting vs Japanese Street fighting you know he’s going down
