I've been thinking about this now that Season 1 is over. I really love Pilsang, and this isn't meant as hate toward him at all. If anything, it's a compliment to how incredibly well the author wrote him.

I noticed that, as readers, we're often very forgiving and protective of Pilsang, even though he has his fair share of genuine wrongdoings. His traumatic past explains why he acts the way he does, but it doesn't necessarily excuse every decision he makes. He has lied multiple times, hurt people a lot, and sometimes gets physical especially with Jooeon when he feels cornered or defensive. Those are real flaws.

But somehow, most of us still love him and want to protect him. I think that's because the author did such an amazing job portraying his pain, vulnerability, and growth that it's hard not to empathize with him. We understand him, even when we don't agree with everything he does.

To me, that's what makes him such a compelling character. I don't love him because he's perfect, I love him because he's so deeply human.

I absolutely love this story, and I can't wait for winter and Season 2!

He might get drunk, and if that happens, there's a chance that he might do something crazy to Pilsang. Hope Jooeun won't hurt him but I'm scared, this might be the turning point for Pilsang to start thinking of running away :( I know there would be a chasing arc but I don't want Pilsang to get hurt so much, he already suffered too much...
