Cain being a dog was such a rogue plot decision given that reincarnation wasn’t mentioned once in the whole series until like right at the end. What purpose did Cain really serve in the story? Dude was a dog in a past life whaaaat? I’d get it if it somehow tied into the plot like Wolf House but it literally did nothing to develop the story
The reincarnation is actually mentioned in the very being of the series exactly at his introduction and through each season. It wasn't a rogue plot just a badly executed one. It felt more for something of his own story rather that some love triangle, author literally told us the main idea of this story was about an animal becoming human idk why they switch to a love triangle
