I liked this story, short and sweet.
I'm writing this cause I saw a lot of people writing that if they lost their love like this, they would end themselves, so I wanted to write some encouraging words. I lost someone when I was in highschool, the 9 year anniversary of his death was like 2 weeks ago. We were trauma bonded and obsessively in love. He passed away trying to prove to his parents that they can't "cure" his gayness. He ended up taking his own life.
I won't pretend its been easy, but life goes on. I cry on his birthday and death day, I write letters to him that he will never read just like the character in this story, and then I keep living, even if all I can tell myself is that he would have wanted me to keep living. I do the things he wanted us to do together, I cry wishing he was there with me, but I go on. My life doesn't need to end, I keep living, proudly, for both of us.
I wouldn't wish this on anyone else, but if someone on here has lost someone or end up losing someone in the future, I hope you remember my words and keep living instead of taking the easy way out.
Sending lots of love and hope to the people on here
