i love how people keep missing the point of this work albeit it being rape fetish, the whole thing is you are not meant to feel “bad” or pick a side of any of the two.
i’ll even add that the only reason people feel bad for jiwook is because the suffering he’s enduring is shown from his perspective and for about 80% of the story, so you have the TIME to feel pity for him.
And the only reason people take juyeon’s side is due to his graphic backstory, while completely ignoring his actions in the present and branding it as “justified”
It can be both at the same time and many of you forget that. The line between fetish and criticism is very thin, many works touch both sides. You can see by how repetitive and sexualized the rape is that it is indeed a fetish for the author, doesnt make the criticism invalid

I guess one can feel bad for any person being a victim of rape, and at the same time admit that both of these guys became monsters. Trauma is the context that helps to explain why characters do the things they do, it is not used as a way to justify them but to explain the reasons why. So i don't think most people look at this and think one is wrong and the other one is right. They are both people that are clearly not sound of mind.
