In my mind the next logical step is for Shuumei to come out as a man to Hana but not reveal his identity, leading Hana to think he’s just like Shizuku (AKA trans/ genderqueer) and be like “you’re still you, Mei. My feeling won’t change.” Also works visa versa. Obviously I wish the big reveal would just happen already, but if they really need to draw this out even more I think the above scenario would be hysterical.

Genuinely couldn’t finish it because of how uncomfortable the sudden “romantic” advances made me. Considering the story tried to take sexual assault relatively seriously earlier on and even during the flashbacks to the MCs old detective partner, I was so grossed out at the constant harassment. Loved the main character, and liked the secondary lead well enough through most of the story, but he became so pushy, creepy, and willfully ignorant towards the end. Lost it when he got mad at the MC for wanting to sleep in separate beds after being confessed to, bit his neck out of nowhere, and fucking assaulted him in bed. Lots of potential down the drain. Very frustrating
