hi I dont know the title of it but there was this yaoi with an uke with brown hair and seme silver hair, pretty big height difference, and they lived in dormitories (but idk if it was with each other) and I think it had like ~50 chapters? Its not junjo romantica btw)
if anyone can help me find it that’d be great thanks!
mincheol used to feel like a pretty realistic and complex character where, although his train of thought is extremely faulty and reprehensible, i could understand how he became what he is now and mourned his potential. like I actually enjoyed reading the chapters with him back then in contrast to taeha’s #therootofsufferingisattachment #bikerboy nothing burger personality but, I feel like the longer this drags on, mincheol just reads as someone who is comically evil. I get that this chapter is him “protecting his ego” from hearing about haesoo moving on but I was expecting more elaborative mental conflict and angst than just “heh… haesoo is a NOBODY without me!!!” but i dunno maybe the story has just always been like this and im the forgetful one speaking through a nostalgic lens bc its been dragging on for sooooo long
Yes, I feel the same way. The first conflict in their marriage came from financial problems, which led Mincheol to borrow money from loan sharks because no bank would lend to them. On top of that, Hae Soo was once pregnant and had a miscarriage. They’ve been through a lot, and the author even showed their past, how Mincheol had to quit school to save Hae Soo from his father who wanted to kill her
But then the author suddenly turned Mincheol into an arrogant bastard who says, “Hae Soo can’t live without me.” Like, please either don’t show their past at all and just make him bad from the start, or create a different kind of conflict
To me this chapter shows how a situation can be interpreted differently. Obviously if someone talks about haeso and her husband, he's gonna believe it's him and not a recently encountered guy.
Before this chapter, it was only his wishful thinking that na haeso couldn't live without him. Now he's certain of it, they haven't seen each other for months + he cheated and she still believe in their dream. This will make the downfall all the more higher.
And to be honest, his perception of na haeso is DEFINITELY what she would have done, had Taeha not turned up to snatch her away.
