I usually don't reply, but it's always been about western imperialism. But to look at more recent events, it's obvious how Falconia is trying to get other civilizations to conform with them. You can easily see the ideas for western imperialism in how Sonia reacts to how Kushan not conforming (they visually look like an Eastern civilization, which have been called "primitive", "backwards" and "exotic" by western civilization, if you want to learn more about this you can look up Orientalism). Griffith wanting Falconia to prosper, in a way that though feels "right", but ossifying at the same time. (You can look at how spreading Christianity was "right" in the eyes of the West, but then it did turn into destroying communities because of the underlying power and domination of trying to make others conform to their views)
What the other commenter said, but adding on the fact Griffith is the one behind the spread of monsters and then proceeding to use that as an excuse to expand his country in order to “protect” others from his own doing. This is very reminiscent of tactics used by imperialists across history and even the US today, where the power will plant and be the ones behind a blight on another nation/peoples, then using that as an excuse to say the “other people can’t protect themselves, we must go and save them” meanwhile just reaping the profits.
