It's on MangaBox so I guess they didn't dl it in time? I was able to read chapter 39 on my phone but I missed out on chapter 32-38.

Basically the mayor betrayed his two bffs one the yakuza and one a rich dude. They had hid a map to the 3 Bill on their backs as tattoos along with the idol. The two guys were killed on a hunting trip all five of them (the mayor, his two friends, the yakuza boss, and a yakuza member who in present time is the head of the yakuza) went on. They were shot in a mexican standoff. The idol was killed later on after the yakuza boyfriend went missing and the mayor called the idols to his house. I imagine she was killed that very night.

All three of them (the two guys plus the idol) are the mummies from the room.

The old dude used to be the yakuza head but he was also a tattoo artist and he was the one who did the tattoos however he doesn't know what any of them mean. So when faced with death he played senile.

Does that help any? Chapter 39 only showed the bf yakuza taking to the old yakuza head and some conspiring from the upstart yakuza with the mayor. It seems like the rich guy and the bf yakuza knew something was up because they were planning on killing the mayor for what he become if he would choose money over their friendship. They just didn't know he conspired with the upstart yakuza.
