Wait wait wait. He doesn't think he deserves to be treated like shit. What he understands is that Taehwan is not going to treat him differently just because they have been fucking around. Which, btw, makes a total sense because being sex partners doesn't mean they became the best of friends. This plot is about old friends, who had a huge fall out, meet together and both have misunderstandings of their past and of each other. We're waiting for them to be on the same page and clear up the misunderstandings.

The thing is. Is I think that Yeonwu has self respect in ways that he has boundaries and has pushed people away before. (Like blocking people on that app.) But I can see how his self respect dwindles before Taewhan. But I also don't think that he's to blame for that. I think he assumes he will be able to keep his self respect and that he has everything in control but will learn that he never had control in the first place. So I changed self respect to logic. Because I think that is a better term than self respect. Also, I think that there are also times when people will put themselves aside for a chance at something they've always wanted, like in this situation. Yeonwu knows this is a mistake, but he can't help it. So I don't think its as much as a self respect thing than it is a logic/feelings thing.
In Chapter like...50, Taehee says that Taewhan has a problem with anything gay. Which is cleared up by the end of season 1. This homophobia thing is a misunderstanding about Taewhan.

Because they had a past and Yeonwu did something Taehwan hated, rather betrayed his trust. So Yeonwu is accepting to be ignored the way Taehwan had always been doing since that incident. It hurt him a bit, sure, but he quickly rationalized because there's no need to go sappy with it. Taehwan has different faces and Yeonwu is fine with it.

Idk about you but to me self-respect is finding things unhealthy, recognizing it/or not but the effects are manifesting in some unhealthy way yet still doing it. All of this doesn't have an effect on Yeonwu negatively, yet. So what respect did he lose exactly? A great example would be Yeonwu's friend. She's always ends with bad guys. Why are they bad? Because what they do wrong affects her. Yes, she called out Taehwan as an asshole but it doesn't affect Yeonwu so it's okay. Yeonwu gets to have amazing sex with a guy he is physically attracted to, Taehwan gets to exert his homophobic tendencies with Yeonwu. It's clear give and take (that Taehwan is, chapter by chapter, blurring).

And I think we are going quite advanced here. "Won't let you go" - I mean Yeonwu hasn't attempted anything yet. He didn't even get the other dude was flirting with him. There's nothing to not "let go" yet. Taehwan is literally getting jealous on his own and Yeonwu is oblivious to it.
