In end of chapter 10 and start of 11, there was a flashback with a man that calls out Serin from a cherry blossom tree. I suspect she is that tree spirit that's why she's powerful compared to other ghosts. And I'd like to think that man is an ancestor of Gitae but that would be weird? Lol I'm gonna go crazy if they don't end up together
